I told her I wasn’t going to write a blog. Not because I didn’t want to, but because I’m saving time not doing them for my photo sessions anymore. As I edited her images, I changed my mind. I felt inspired to write a senior photo blog for her anyway;)
I was 17 when I started babysitting her. This sweet girl was my baby! My little blond;) If I wasn’t working, I was at the DeCleene house. Our summers were spent swinging on the swings, visiting the park right next to their house, and running our bare feet through the grass in their backyard.
I remember lots and lots of laughter…no matter what we were doing, this girl ALWAYS had a big smile across her face!
Even at a young age, she was an incredible helper. Grabbing diapers and bottles for her baby sister, and matching up covers to the bowls in her mama’s abundant Tupperware collection. All I had to do was ask and she was right there, ready to help out!
When she was still just a youngster, I graduated college and moved away. While I was traveling state to state, trying to figure out who I was and what I wanted to do with my life, she was back home. While I was away, that smiley little blond grew into the incredibly beautiful woman you see here!
And even though her age has changed, not much else has.
Her smile is still radiant and her eagerness to help is still very present. In fact, that’s how we were able to reconnect. Thanks to Facebook she was able to find me. And, since I now have littles of my own, she offered to babysit anytime I need her to! My once little helper is grown up now and still offering to help me out!
Courtney — may you never lose your desire to help others. May you continue to spread kindness everywhere you go. And, even though I know you’re perfectly comfortable right where you are, I pray you seek adventure through the years! Travel….give yourself a chance to see the world through your own beautiful eyes….and DREAM!!!
DREAM BIGGER THAN YOU’VE EVER IMAGINED!!!
I love you so much and I wish you the absolute BEST in everything you do!!! You’re going to rock your senior year…even if it’s virtual;)
