My heart is warm. Not just the regular temperature warm – more like the warm that fills your entire body with love and leaves you with a perm-a-smile for the next couple days!
After leaving the R&A household, I found myself hoping our family will be just as sweet and loving as theirs is. There wasn’t a moment that passed by that baby Grey wasn’t being loved on, or laughing at his goofy mommy and daddy, or getting stared at by his adoring parents. I don’t think they even realize they do it, but there wasn’t a second that passed where one or the other wasn’t staring at him in awe – with eyes full of amazement….I’m sure they were thinking to themselves – “Can you believe we created this adorable little-human?!”
Not everyone can raise children who smile at the sound of the Beach Boys, or who have an amazing fashion-sense at 6-months-old, or who laugh with such intent you know they are genuinely happy – but Rachal and Adam are doing it!
I may be wrong, but I think it works for them because they are so relaxed – so in love with each other – so in love with their sweet baby boy.
It’s not every day someone invites me into their home to capture their daily life, but I’m so glad R&A did. Being with them was a great reminder of how families should be.
Put aside your dishes, place the vacuum in the closet, the lawn can be raked a different day. Instead, take a moment to enjoy the time you have with your loved ones. Someday they’ll grow old, and you’ll be wishing you had this time back again.
Rachal, Adam & Grey – thank you so much for showing me the light. You are an amazing example/definition of the word “family.” Continue to give those hugs & kisses freely – and if you ever want me to capture them again, I’ll be at your front door with my camera in-hand within seconds!
